We have a beautiful new lightweight boat!

The inaugural outing of Minerva’s new addition to the fleet had a crew line up of
Ian Burdis, Sue Lees, Kerry Hebden and Heidi Richards.

The crew were chosen in recognition of the massive amount of time they give to the club in their respective roles of vice/co captain, junior coordinator, treasurer and sculling rep, plus being instrumental in obtaining our beautiful new quad and so much more besides!

Minerva members to vote on what name they would like to give our new boat. A short list has been drawn up:

• Fortuna Roman goddess of fortune
• Opi Roman goddess of prosperity
• Valeria or Valéria Roman empress, meaning strong, brave and healthy
• Aurelia Mother of Julius Caesar
• Bellona Goddess of war
