Minerva closed until further notice

26th March, 2020

The necessary precautions in the fight against Covid-19, announced by the UK government, mean our club will not reopen again for some time… until the ban on social and sporting gatherings is lifted.

We managed to lend all of our rowing machines out to members, so that they are able to continue their training regimes whilst staying at home.

We will look forward to and prepare for our reopening, whenever that be, by planning new learn to row programmes so we are ready to welcome new rowers to our sport.

These are unprecedented and challenging times for all of us. We are all missing our chosen sport, particularly as the weather improves, but we must now all play our part as Covid-19 takes a grip, confirmed cases escalate, and the death toll increases.

In the meantime, do keep in touch with us via our Twitter feed: @MinervaRowing and follow @minerva_bath_rowing_club on Instagram where we will share our #stayathome fitness pics.

It is important that we will all look out for each other during this emergency and equally that we all look forward to the day we can celebrate our return to the river.
