Welcome
Hello and welcome to the Minerva Bath Rowing Club webpage.Minerva Bath is located on the River Avon at Newbridge, Bath and offers its members a good stretch of river from Bath weir up to Saltford, which is about 5km end to end.
We are a small but friendly club that continues to improve and expand its facilities, welcoming all ages and ability of rower and potential rower. Our youngest rower is 13 and our oldest is almost 70 (and still winning medals). In spite of our size, in 2010, we had crews at Henley qualifiers, Veteran Henley, the fours’ and eights’ heads, the Met, Wallingford, City of Bristol, and the Masters’ championships, to name but a few. This year, we hope to better that.
We are Clubmark accredited. Our main focus is on rowing, a sport we all greatly enjoy and we're finding that our passion for our sport is helping the club to expand into the community, offering links with local schools to encourage the children of Bath and the local area to participate in a fast growing sport. We are also looking to link into the Explore rowing programme hosted by British rowing to make this wonderful sport more accessible to the wider community.
